A Rose ...
Label lost, name forgotten. It must be tougher than it looks, for it's one of the few flowers that hasn't been bruised to a pulp by the rain this afternoon.
It was a showery day, but, just as we were setting out for a walk down by the river, the deluge began.
We had hoped to go and see if the ospreys are in residence. I discovered later, via the Born In The Borders website, that it is still closed so we would have had a wasted journey. The good news is that Samson returned safely and that a new female has settled in with him. Whether this happened in time for them to produce a brood this year has yet to be revealed.
So the high spot of my day was finding a Magnum look-alike in the freezer. It wasn't a taste-alike unfortunately, but probably better than the other piece of frozen confectionary lurking in there, a Knobbly Bobbly ..... what ever that is. It must have been there since the last time the grandchildren were here - six months ago!! It feels like six years :-(((
