Young Heron

I got rather wet on my walk this morning and so did everyone else who was walking round the Heritage Park loch. 

I spotted at least three young herons crossing back and forth across the loch. These youngsters don't yet have the patience of their parents. Being smaller they are more easily hidden among the wild foliage growing by the water's edge  ..... not a sight or sound and then a mighty flapping of wings and they're off.
