Aroma

I've been drying some of the herbs I've grown at the allotment.  Today I stripped the leaves off the stems and crushed them so they are ready for use.  They smell wonderful.

Some people put the dried leaves through a colander to make them really small but mine were not dry enough and I actually quite like the leaves to stay a bit on the large side.  I'm not sure if my technique of drying is very good as I haven't studied what to do, just hung the herbs in the house for a while and in a place where it is warm and dry with a bit of a through draft.  Some people dry them in the oven which I'd prefer not to do and I have heard others put the herb stems to dry in a large black plastic bag outside.  Any tips you have for good techniques would be gratefully received.

Other than that the day has been one of dog walks, a short weeding trip to the allotment and anatomy/physiology revision. Hoping this finds you well and having had a good day.
