what comes around goes around

This is a cardigan I have had for years but not worn recently. It was hand knitted in Bolivia from lovely thick wool. I have decided not to buy any new clothes for six months. If I haven't worn any of the old ones and don't want to, I'll. give them to Oxfam. But some old clothes are worth discovering all over again. I enjoyed wearing the cardigan and got lots of compliments. So that one's staying.

A day always comes around at this time of year when I suddenly feel like gardening again. Today was mild and dry and I was busy in the greenhouse, clearing away old leaves and dead plants from last year. Underneath, there were new little plants growing, buds were swelling on the fruit bushes, and birds singing in the trees.

There's a comfort in the old, the new, and the. way that life cycles around....
