Pink again

A trip out of town - to Smeaton Gardens for a shufty around the plants. The place was pretty quiet, which was just as well as I think their attempted one way system may be a bit pants. I mean, garden centres are meant for strolling round, going back, picking up, putting down, changing your mind, reconsidering, deciding the one you saw first would be OK after all. Isn’t that the way it’s done? At the end we did get a few little things, but I didn’t find it inspiring - I mean, I bought an Astilbe. Why? 
What was inspiring was being out of town, and even just toodling along the A1 awhile. Back to sit in the sun and read up on plum trees. Why have I only two plums on the whole tree?
