Pretty in Pink

I've spent most of today glued to my computer, planning a trip down south in July. We've decided to fly down rather than drive this time, as it's such an interminable journey from Perthshire to the south coast of England. So that involves hiring a car as well, something we've never done in this country before:) It's made more compicated because we'll also be visiting relatives in Essex and want to return from a different airport. There will also be a few days in a B&B and when we added it all up, we realised we could probably have a week in Europe for a lot less! Have you planned your summer holidays yet?

Dashed out into the garden for a quick blip and was spoiled for choice. Few flowers, but it was a toss up between a zen-like floating leaf, an underwater forest in the pond, a great tit singing his socks off in a tree or this pretty pink and white viburnum. The pink won as it always looks so brave on its bare branches and adds a welcome splash of colour to an otherwise dark corner.
