Poppies.

Can't really walk past a field with a few Poppies in, bit like Snowdrops and Bluebells.

I woke up at 6am, when that happens in lockdown and I haven't a dog to walk it's a pretty long day ahead. It was very misty and with the sun trying to break through I thought I'd head out and try to get an atmospheric shot. I didn't, but passed this field with a few Poppies in.

I was in the field (7am) and a woman with two very big Weimaraner male dogs was walking round the edge. The dogs came bounding up to me, I'm a dog person but even I was a little worried about their demeanour, I know they would be surprised at someone in the field with a camera. I stood stock still, protected my camera! And turned slightly so I wasn't confronting them. They were leaping round me, big powerful dogs,  and one actually touched the top of my head with a paw, or something, I'm not a short person by any means. The woman made no attempt to call them away or apologise. I thought there's enough anger in the country at the moment so I just said "Good morning". She ignored me, so I repeated the greeting in a cheery LOUD voice. She did return the greeting grudgingly. Carried on past me and then called one of the dogs to her. "Hugo". Says it all really. How rude! AND to let the dogs just charge all over the crops and through the delicate Poppies. Sometimes I despair!
