The dreaded haar
The 'haar' (coastal sea fog) has been rolling in and out for the last few days.
In this part of the world the country folk use 'haar' or 'mist'. The fisherfolk, I am led to believe by my resident fisher Quine, prefer 'fog' but their prime choice is 'thickness'. Thickness, she tells me, comes in varying densities: thick. smore thick, tar thick and thick as guts. Smore means to smother.
Extra. The local herons were quite enjoying the thickness.
