The Don

Our favourite local cafe 'Stumps' is at the Donald Bradman Cricket Oval in Bowral. The Don grew up in Bowral and honed his skills as a youngster on this oval (see extra blip). Anyone who knows a little about cricket knows that it is, of course, an Australian who holds the international record for the highest ever batting average - 99.94! The next highest is 63.43!!

The Don achieved this record between 1928 and 1948.
