I am Rising because .....

After our 10am One Billion Rising dance practice this morning, inspired by some images we'd seen from people in Perth, Australia, everyone was invited to write something about why they are rising. Here we see one of our gang writing her statement, with others that had been written by other people.

We really rocked this morning and for the first time I felt that not only did I know the dance steps but I was actually dancing, if that makes sense?

A couple of teachers from one of the schools in the area are teaching the dance to their pupils and will be bringing along about 30 of them on the 14th. A few of them came this morning and they definitely rocked.
