Dahl and spinach

The daughters didn’t emerge till 9 am, feeling slightly peaky, owing to Mr C’s generous measures last night. However the really appreciated the change and each other’s company. They are very close, especially since their big sister died.

#2 daughter had brought luxury croissants so we enjoyed them with coffee. We all sat in the garden chatting till they left at midday. It’s been great, despite the murky weather. Typically, after they’d gone and after I’d made this hearty meal for tonight, the sun came out and for a while it was warm and humid.

Now we know we can manage outside in the evenings with the brazier we are thinking of inviting friends round, maybe just for a drink at first as providing food and not touching stuff is quite stressful. So far in England only single people can be in a bubble with one other family.
