One treasure has found a home
I went shopping this morning - first a trip to B&Q to get some 13A plugs. No queue to get in, but a long queue to pay.
Then on to the supermarket, where once again there was no queue to get in, but a very long queue to get out. Though shopping is relatively easy these days - there were almost no gaps on the shelves - I seem to find it quite stressful, and am always glad to get home.
W has spent a fun day sorting out screws and other bits in his workshop. He recently bought a fancy labelling machine. Those of us of a certain age probably all had one of those Dymo embossed labels makers. Well, it turns out you can still buy those, but you can also buy a much more fancy label maker - so W has been having fun making labels for our plants, and for his workshop. He then rewired this quartz lamp (complete with a South African plug) so that it could be used. My daughters will no doubt regard it as "very eighties". But we rather like it, and we've found it a place in the dining annex of the kitchen.
