Rain!

At last - proper rain!  It drizzled very gently on and off most of the day but now,  drifting across the Thames Estuary from Kent I can see a solid mass of rain clouds and quite quickly we have the kind of rain that you can hear.  There's very little wind so it should hang around long enough to give our allotments the kind of soaking they desperately need.  Hopefully I can break new ground and prepare a patch for the remaining plants to go in.
Have not been out and so it is another shot from my roof - a very small alpine sink garden looking quite damp.
