Victory...
...erm, well actually...
The truth is that after two and a half hours of rowing we missed the honours of the wooden spoon by 0.02 seconds. Phew! My PE teacher competitive streak was firmly hidden in my undies as I tried to pretend that I wasn't bothered and was just joining them for the 'stroll'...but blimey, I hate being near the losing end of the pack! Twas god fun though!
The day started too early, I can't sleep at the moment so my brain woke me every hour through the night and then decided to move my ass out of bed at 6am. By 8am I had walked the girls, cleaned out the fire, put washing on, hoovered the house, got kindling in, packed my gym bag and was ready to eat my egg whites. Seriously, on a Saturday!! After we spoke I tidied the laundry and did some school work, headed to the gym to do my intervals session and then drove to a nearby school to compete in the Rowathon. Afterwards I nipped in to town to meet Debs for a cup of green tea, diving into M&S on the way to buy prawns...I was bloody starving! I did a little shop in town then drove to NEwark to do the weekly food shop and was home about 6.30pm. Dog walk, fire stoked, washing on the rack, dinner, sorted photos, blipped...now it is just after nine and my bed is calling me upstairs!
What a day!
Tomorrow....school work. Photography work. And the girls have their psychological testing...that will be interesting!!xx
