Herm is open for visitors

This Is Trident V going to Herm island this morning. The ferry has been resting since it lockdown began in mid March. Usually it runs every day apart from a few Sundays in winter.

It is always nice to go to Herm which is twenty minutes away on this ferry. The hotel is lovely and staying there is a little like going back in time. The cottages can be fun for a weeks stay too and some have small gardens.

We enjoy going on the very first boat and walking around the island, returning In the afternoon. It is nice that there are no cars there, just a few tractors which transport luggage to the hotel and cottages.

Today has been expensive as we have bought several household items. The largest being a new large fridge freezer. We learnt during lockdown that ours wasn’t enough for a weeks delivery. We have decided to continue shopping just once each week and so felt it was a good investment to increase the cool storage space.
