Walking Around the Wetlands
Over 20 of us met, and we drove to Bremner Bay where we started our walk. It was quite windy and cold, and I needed the 4 layers of clothing. We stopped in a sheltered spot for our lunch (extra 1). I did over 14,000 steps, or 10 k. The second extra is walking through the Poplar trees, and the 3rd extra is of the group waiting for the tail enders. We had a nice cuppa at a local cafe. All in all a pretty good day out.
I have bought in the fire wood, and am ready to put my feet up.
The TV programme last night about the Lavender Farm was excellent. It was a great advertisement for Wanaka, with the brothers showing off their skills with snowboarding, mountain biking, river surfing, as well as managing the family lavender farm.
btw, NZ is now moving into level 1 in regard to the Covid -19 virus. There are no known cases of the virus. This means that everything will return to normal, except that the borders will remain closed.
