Over exposed
OK, today I am behaving myself having stirred things up yesterday.
This is the light meter that came with my Kodak Retinette. Dad gave me his equipment when he upgraded to an ultra modern Minolta SR-T 101 SLR. To use, set the arrow on the dial to the same value as indicated on the meter. Then you used the exposure value from the centre of the dial on the Retinette. It was important to measure the distance to the subject or at least estimate. Everything was manual and taking a photo took a while. My Dad was especially slow and would like to double check everything. This may explain why we all looked a bit glazed over in family photos.
