Fading Light

Trees obscure the sun as its arc draws to a close, catching leaves and twigs in a pocket of light, casting strong shadows on the branch behind. A cooler day today made the evening very pleasant and at this time of year the evening light is much softer, offering more opportunities to photograph.

The light on the water, well algae really, behind the fallen branch, was weird. The algae, normally bright yellow green, had a bluey aqua cast to it, presumably reflecting light from the sky. I didn't know how to adjust it and spent quite a time trying various methods. I think I'm ok with the result. Time will tell.
