Bearded Iris

I found a perfect spot for bearded iris - against a south facing wall where it can enjoy a good baking. This is the first one to show its appreciation.
My lupins and alliums suffered most from the windy weather yesterday so I spent some time cutting them back and using the best ones for flower arrangements. A friend called by with a surprise high tea in a box for us and took away a huge bouquet of lupins. She’s moving tomorrow and I am really going to miss her.
