Flirtations of Spring
"The world is mud-luscious and puddle-wonderful."
~ ee cummings
Today was a bizarre kind of day weather-wise. Peering out my window in the early dawn, it seemed a bit like spring. Everything glowing all green and moist, with temps hovering several degrees above freezing. I managed to get out for a walk before breakfast and it was really lovely. It was chillier than it looked from the window, with a bit of biting wind, but still there was a sense of spring-around-the-corner. It prompted me to come home and cast open all the windows and do some heavy cleaning. But then crazy big snowflakes were filling the sky - bowling every which way, but not settling anywhere.
After a brief dark spell, the sun came out and took turns dancing with hail and rain, with bits of blue sky almost always visible. Very flirty, indeed.
Alas, I don't think we'll have a real spring for at least another 2 months, but it was fun to be teased today :)
Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend!
