Thank You For the Days ..

The Wind That Shakes The Barley

A couple of rainy days have greened up the landscape. This year, the kye look particularly glossy and the fields are flourishing. Is it because of the mild winter and warm spring? Or the clear air. Every thing seems to sparkle, even on a dull day.

We went out to post a couple of cards and came home by the scenic route. In truth, we got lost, again .... found a set of back roads we'd never been on before. So I'm not sure where I took this, but I recognise the great bulk of the Cheviot, and it turned out we weren't far from home.

The pattern of our weeks is becoming more settled. Wednesdays are bacon and egg roll day ( at home, no longer in our favourite cafe in Edinburgh), and Fridays are Fizzy Fridays, where we mark the end of another week by opening a bottle of something with bubbles. If this goes on long enough we may have names for all the days.

Extra is the Senior Grandchild, showing off her silverware. Mum won a couple of trophies too. Time Dad caught up!
No ceremonies this year, but she's still enjoying her moment!

She's only been sailing for a year, so well done Iz, your Shetland great-grandad would have been so proud.
