Bunny 1 - Hawk 0

This morning I saw our backyard bunny sitting motionless under a close pine tree.
Only a few minutes later I looked up and the rabbit was gone. Doing a quick scan of the trees I saw one of the local hawks sitting two trees over from where bunny had been.
But the hawk flew away empty talloned as soon as I stepped out to try to get a pic.
Then we saw the rabbit all fine later in the day.
So bunny wins this one and the hawk has to hunt elsewhere.
So it goes in nature.
