Foxgloves

A cold start to the day - rather dull too, but I did spot this big group of foxgloves in a hedgerow along one of the lanes. I thought they were lovely and bright and looked good against the green.

Well we had our ‘socially distanced’ family gathering with daughter, husband and the girls in our garden today. It was lovely to see them all and the youngsters were extremely careful to avoid getting too close to us - but we really missed out on the hugs! The had a great time running round the garden - they brought plenty of snacks to keep them going. They stayed for a couple of hours and left just as the rain started - very lucky it had stayed dry, but it was rather cool at times!

It would have been the last day of our big family holiday in France - we were due on the ferry home tonight. :-(
