Scots Pine Cone

Another tree blip….sorry.

Lots of rain today - the water butts have re-filled and the ground is a bit less dry, which is good.

Didn’t get out for our walk until after lunch - and it was bit grim. Rain blowing horizontally on a strong northerly wind, into my face. Shorts and tee shirts yesterday - could have done with thermals and a hat today!

Managed to hold the pine cone still enough to photograph it - well at least this one shot was still!

Only yesterday we were saying that there hadn’t been many blue or great tits in the garden recently..and today there were loads. Decided that insects must have been in short supply today and they used us as an emergency food station. Good to know they are still out there!
