Danson park
As a child I spent a lot of time in Danson park and it seemed huge. Danson house the Palladian house pictured was derelict back then and a fun place to climb over! It was finally taken over by English heritage and restored to become an attraction and council register office. My grandad was the last mayor of Bexley when it was truly in Kent (rather than a London borough) and he opened the boat house on the lake that still has a plaque in memory of the event.
My reason for being there was to kill time while my audi was being serviced. A very hot wait...
