Peony Time

Dear Diary,

Another cold morning but my tree peony is handling the chill.  It is a lovely shade of pinky red and is always the first peony to bloom in my yard.  Last year the little bush was covered with blooms but this year there seems to be only 2, this one and a bud.  They are very short lived too so I thought I would get a photo while the sun was still shining.  We are in desperate need of rain but none so far.  My new water system gets installed this morning.  The 17 year old one was on its last legs, sort of sums me up too.
