A Pair of Survivors

Dear Diary,

The two mornings of below freezing temperatures have caused some damage to my plants.  The Columbine was tinged with frost but these two brave souls are putting on a good show despite having buds and leaves damaged.  This morning it is 50 and warmer days coming.  I guess if you are a spring flower in Maine you have to develop some strong survival skills because of our erratic weather.

I am feeling better this morning, I'm happy to say, but I will continue to take it slow and easy.  My new water system was installed yesterday and the lawn finally mowed.  That alone made me feel better!  John will be here this afternoon to do a bit of weeding.  I will just supervise.
