Searching for a Ride? (back blip for yesterday)
Whenever I visit Streatham, I cycle past this splendid example of skating on the thin ice of trademark law.
This is only the latest iteration of the sign; it started as 'Gooogle Cars' with coloured letters. The 'i' near the end came next, then, when that wasn't enough, several of the letters turned black, although the original colouring can still be seen in the window.
It does puzzle me why a taxi firm would want to pass itself off as a subsidiary of an Internet search engine and ad revenue generator, but that's probably why I don't work in marketing.
