Cloud illusions
I had (what I thought was) a lovely blip lined up this afternoon when I spotted the moon amongst the wispy cirrus (mares tails) clouds. Sadly, as usual, I wasn't quick enough because the moon had disappeared behind one of the clouds before I had my camera set up. However, I though that the clouds looked quite interesting by themselves, being quite wispy on our breezy but warm sunny afternoon.
The extra was taken a couple of hours later, during the beautiful gentle evening here on Mull, with a lovely cool glass of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc balancing on the patio rail.
