Blue tit

We have been following the comings and goings of this blue tit and it's mate as they fulfill the roll of very attentive parents. The extras are a snapshot of a brief nail-biting moment when a fly ventured into the nest box (we can only guess what happened to the fly) and for several minutes after that the parent bird stayed in the box, poking its head out and checking the outside of the box for more of the takeaway meal that had fortuitously landed on its doorstep.
