cooling down

I  tried gardening this afternoon but it was just too hot, so Luke, Jess and I went out early on our walk down to the river and this time we all went for a swim. I'm not used to swimming in rivers, and am not a fan of the slippery stones and the weed, but the water was wonderfully cool. Luke and Jess went exploring upstream and I enjoyed the absolute peace of standing in the water and listening to the birds singing.

My blips are stating to look a bit "samey" I realise...but to be honest, our life is much the same as it was. We haven't been anywhere since the small easing of the lockdown rules in Scotland, we haven't seen anyone new except for people we pass on our walks (and they are very few). Sarah phoned and told me that London is busy with crowds of people everywhere. I wish she was here to enjoy some of this space and to cool down with us in the river.
