Saying Goodbye

Today we said goodbye to my dear friend Rhod. A sad day, obviously, but also one filled with beautiful memories and funny stories. About 20 were able to attend the actual service. Others watched it live streamed, and others will be able to watch the recording soon. Some stood along the road and watched as we drove by.

It was precious to be able to share this day with a handful of Rhod’s MANY friends and family,  and especially to spend time with 4 of my childhood friends. We all knew Rhod way back in 1979 when he first arrived in Reading. We were teenagers then, and 7-10 years younger than Rhod, but that didn’t stand in the way of a strong friendship with him that lasted all these years. How we will miss him!
