Photoshoot

3years 103days

Mummy bought this little ruffle pants and swing top set thinking it would be nice for one of her goddaughters' first birthday shoots. I wanted to try it out, Katie was interested in trying it, so I let her dress up and have a little photo session. I love the colours and its now likely to feature in my spring promotional materials. We dont often do "proper" photo shoots - most of our photos are simply moments in her day that I pick to capture. She had fun. And has somehow learnt to pose. The hand on the hip was all her. The little look back over the shoulder I led her with. The grin? All totally natural cheeky Katie.

She didnt go to gymnastics today, she was a little bit snotty when she got up, so we just had a pottering at home time. Big parties and nursery play games for a lot of the time. She ran up to me at one point, cuddled me and said "I love you soooo much. And I love our house". Random but she made me smile.

About 11, I got her ready to go to nursery. She wanted to wear her princess dress but had spilt spagetti hoop juice down it (after eating a full tin as part of a bizaare breakfast concotion that she had). So she wore a dorothy dinosaur tshirt with a pettiskirt and sparkly party shoes, her black velvet coat, her baby on her back in her mini meitai and skipped down the street, grinning. Oh to be three.

NB - her photoshoot was very brief, I didnt want her out like that for long, but she very much wanted to play in the pretty outfit. So we took literally 5 photos, and brought her straight back inside. She is stood three feet from my front door and it was by far the mildest day we've had in a very long time.
