Spring gold

My naughty bees swarmed again this morning! It was even before I had had my coffee! However they clustered on the normal yew tree while I was drinking it, and then dropped obligingly into a nucleus box which I quickly slapped a lid on!
On the plus side though, the first harvest of honey is a delightful golden colour and very thick and delicious. It’s the first pure spring honey I have ever collected, due to the amazing weather we have been experiencing, and all those dandelions and buttercups were in full flower for weeks on end.
So quite a positive day really.
