Lockdown!

I have just finished reading Lockdown by Peter May. Written back in 2005 but unpublished until this year as the publisher thought it too improbable!
It all rings horribly true and although the virus we are suffering from has a considerably lower kill rate, it is interesting that our government built us multiple enormous emergency hospitals just as described in the book. Were they expecting a similar mortality? Very possibly.
It’s a pretty bleak picture of human behaviour under extreme circumstances and very thought provoking - I wonder if we will ever hear the truth about the origins of the Wuhan virus?
A gripping read as usual from Peter May and well worth a read!
