Memorial Day

It’s a holiday here in the US, a day to remember and honor those men and women who sacrificed their lives for the greater good, for our safety and freedoms. We also remember family and friends who are no longer with us. It is a solemn and somber time, normally filled with parades, public wreath laying, gun salutes, placing flags at Veteran’s graves and planting flowers at the cemetery. It’s also the official kickoff to summer, when people plant their gardens, plan vacations, go camping, and gather for family BBQs • 2020 promises to be very different, at least for those of us who believe this virus is real, and care and respect others. Similar to soldiers, we wear our masks like a badge of courage • We are in this fight together • Happy Memorial Day!
