you can see the battle scars on his face - this one has weathered some storms in his life... yet he is a beast with a soft touch - welcoming and responding to my voice - not forgetting who i am, though it's been nearly 2 months since i last visited him... a treat of apples brought nudging against my hand for more - disappointment when i said they were gone...
