Sally Mair - Loving life

More May

Today has been a day of two halves. This morning dreich and windy, this afternoon and evening have seen a return to the warmer, stiller temperatures of last week. Thank goodness.
I had my usual virtual church services this morning, firstly from my own church then the provincial service from the Bishop's home in Perth. Both very enjoyable and helpful. It's good to have these quiet times in amongst everything else which is going on.
I've signed up to the Thy Kingdom Come initiative which is ecumenical and involves prayer from Ascension to Pentecost, 10 days. My slot was this morning too so that gave me a focus. There are some useful materials and a prayer journal to accompany the initiative.
We walked along to D'mains this afternoon to the church area and had a wee look at the tree which came down yesterday, in the wind, onto a taxi, fortunately nobody was hurt. It looks as though it was actually a huge branch from a sycamore rather than a whole tree, but still a lucky escape for the driver.
Out again this evening, enjoying the late sunshine and that's another week over.
The blip is of three different Hawthorn varieties along the cycle track and the fourth in the collage is of the first elderflower I've seen this year. I don't think I'll be making cordial this year, I've still got lots left in the cupboard.
I had a chat with A this afternoon, she's been doing lots of child care cover this weekend as both K & J have been working till late in the evening. What a star.
Stay safe everybody, do as we should not as we shouldn't.
We're getting there.
