"quit playing games with my heart"
Absolute Balderdash!!!!!
(in more ways than one i guess after the day I've had)
I LOVE this board game!! Apart from Articulate I can't think of a better game! The first time I played it was when the lovely Heather was still in Ballinamallard and all of us school girl friends had went round for one of our last nights of banter! Since coming to Dundee, not very many people I've met have even heard about it so it was amazing that our new flatmate has his own copy of the game! Roll on a flat Balderdash nights!!! :)
Recently I've been having really vivid dreams - the kind of dreams that if you wake up you quickly ask the darkness to let you go back to sleep and to the exact bit in your dream where you woke up so you can find out how it ends. The same people are always in these dreams and it reminded me of something Lyndsay said a few weeks ago - that the people in your dreams are missing you. :)
I'm rambling on about my dreams because the quote on my desk calendar for today was "we are more ourselves in our dreams than in reality. It's almost as if our slumber is the awakening of the soul." I totally agree with this - if I had even the smallest bit of the confidence that the dreamland me has I might be able to smile a lot more in reality as all my hopes and dreams come true for the dreamland version of me. What a difference my reality could potentially be if my dream world were even the tiniest bit real.....
But enough talk about dreams and the 'if onlys' that they seem to create. Before I go to blanket street in bedfordshire, time to start packing for Liverpool - it's going to be a hectic weekend of travel, broken up by seeing 3 lovely people!
