A mouth full
“What would you like for lunch ? “ the Daddy blackbird asked, “Anything” the little ones replied. So Dad went out into the big green field to see what he could find.
He found a lot as you can see, with a beak crammed packed with an assortment of goodies for the hungry mouths.
I could not believe how much he could fit in his beak without dropping anything. Looked like bees, green caterpillars, a large beetle, nymphs plus lots more and he still came down for some seed. They are going to be well fed chicks.
A very windy day so spent most of it moving things around the garden and crossing my fingers hoping that nothing gets damaged. Lots of twigs and leaves hitting the window.
I’ve started making another scarecrow for our garden.Quite pleased so far all will be revealed once I can get her outside.
Sad to hear that Shearings and a few other businesses are having to close.Shearings were always on tour in the Highlands taking people around the local area including Cromarty and Dingwall. At least two hotels have had to close in Strathpeffer and one in Garve.Lots of shops are having to stop trading completely too. It’s rather worrying that in just two months it has come to this. They must have been in trouble before hand and this has pushed them over the edge.
We are having events we had planned for December cancelled or changed till next year now , let’s hope there’s a vaccine or a good treatment soon.
