Sprayer Thursday ....

Another day of this and that.
Kev a no show again so once I had everything fed I hitched up the dung spreader and mucked our and bedded a couple of lots of cows . Had a wee quiet walk through the 50 lot and noted all the ones that need their feet trimmed when the foot man is here next week.
The contractors back in to the field at the quarry. They are busy de stoning the ground , lifting all the big stones. First a machine rakes them into rows then another machine drives up the rows and flicks the stones into a hopper which is emptied every so often into the telehandler which carts them off into a big pile .
They finished about 7 pm so I went and spread the nitrogen fertiliser on the field once they were away.
The spray contractor in doing all the barley fields, and this 20 acres of spring oats tonight. Perfect conditions for once , as it is a standing joke with them that when ever they appear it usually starts to rain !
