Lensbaby Iris

I pulled out the Composer Pro and the Sweet 35 optic this afternoon and had a great time experimenting and photographing the Irises in our garden which are starting to bloom.  

Thank you all for your words of encouragement for my "off" day yesterday.  Your kindness and a good night's sleep made today a much better day.  My resilience still seems to kick in, thankfully. 

It was #2 son's birthday today, and so we had a surprise Zoom birthday party for him this evening. All his brothers, his children, nieces and nephews joined in. The bonus for us was that we also got to see and chat with all our grandchildren at one time.  It was great fun and good for everyone's spirits. 

I am a pretty decent cook, but my baking skills are quite lacking, nevertheless, I baked a birthday cake for #2 today and although it wasn't the prettiest (a bit lopsided), it tasted good and was greatly appreciated.
