New ways
It don't know why I haven't done it before - I've had the OS Maps app for ages - but doing the walks with Dan has led to me finally finding some new routes around where I live. And all those walks can double up as runs for me to do, too!
Today we headed out through Kearstwick, and then took the footpath from Hot Ridding Farm up to Hop House. From there, our adventure really began as we took the bridlepath alongside Lowther Plantation all the way through to Lupton, where we walked down to the A65 and crossed over, taking the path to Lupton Mill (my "Nettle Alley" from a previous Blip or two).
We took the path that runs around Badger Gate and saw Dan's Godfather, my friend, Hugo, in his garden. We gave him a wave and he came over for socially distanced chat before we carried on towards Sealford Lane. It was around this time that we stopped for dinner although we had to relocate to the far side of a style after a sheep came right over to us to see if we had anything to share. It was practically domesticated!
The bottom of Sealford Lane leads onto the path in my photo, which heads in pretty much a straight direct line all the way to Pit Lane, which took us through High Biggins and down to home. It was a lovely walk but I can't wait to run it!
