Dog rose (rosa canine)
The first wild roses I have seen this year. They have such a delicate colour and five petals. Some are more white, others pinker, just very beautiful simple flowers growing up through the hedgerows.
Extra: We have several species of Oak on the farm but I think this one is the Sessile Oak, one of two species native to the British Isles. (Quercus petreae). The new leaves are so bright and fresh.
Zoomed to Oregon again this evening for my cousin's birthday party. It was so good to see every one - they were all in lockdown from England, Scotland, Wales, Britsh Columbia Canada, and Oregon and California. We really all had the same opinions about the virus and were experiencing more to less the same local situations.
