Off The Cuff

The only thing that spoilt today’s ‘off the cuff’ walk was no Clare. I headed off out of the house intending to buy a ball of string to re-rig the toy yacht, it’s on my list of things to do.
Once I’d got the string I thought I’d just continue, the sun was shining so why not. I took the normal route, stopping where the fancy took me until I reached the best seat in Falmouth.
There is nothing better than thirty minutes alone on this seat, a clear sunny day, virtually no wind, just a great view. With the decrease in pollution over the last nine weeks the sea looked cleaner, the sky bluer, the environment quieter.
I continued the walk home, more people about, more cars on the roads but we are not back to pre lockdown levels yet.

Chatted to both Samantha and Joshua whilst making Clare’s post shift sandwich.

It’s been a good day.
