Road Up!

A 'record' blip.  After many years of rather half-heartedly filling the ever deeper potholes on the road through the village the Council have finally decided to resurface the road properly.  It is closed through the day for three days so the village has been very quiet (apart from the sound of the heavy machinery resurfacing the road, of course).  Our house is on a road which leads off the High Street so as it is often used as a rat run it has been particularly quiet.  We had a walk this afternoon and came back just as they had finished but before the road was reopened overnight.
