Watershed

Another day out for me today!

A pleasant and refreshing (!) walk to and from my meeting passing the Watershed on Bristol's dockside in the process.

I was at the Heads of Science meeting for Bristol schools at @Bristol.

Another great day with much stimulating conversation that reminds me why I love teaching science.

All with familiar tales of woe to tell about their own schools and the dominance of Maths and English, pressure from above and their OfSTED experiences.

Many expressed their fear of losing their jobs.

Throughout all this we maintained a cheerful demeanour. I did not learn from the lessons of last Friday and, again, drank too much strong coffee.

Now back in school at 5.30 to present to the Governing Body on the subject of literacy. I bet they're looking forward to that!
