Lockdown Lock

We got adventurous today and drove to Buscot Weir as I read the NT car park was open again. It was, and it was very quiet too which surprised me. It felt strange to be driving somewhere different for a walk, and very liberating.

We saw yellow fields, roadside chainsaw wood carvings, burger vans with bikers and HGV/delivery drivers (no social distancing evident), small groups of teenagers sunbathing and picnicking (again not much social distancing evident), a few families walking (following the social distancing guidelines) and petrol less than £1 per litre (apart from our nearest garage where it is still at £1.15).

We drove in mrsfb's Adam (Bumble) which probably worked wonders for his battery.

Finished up with an ice cream bought through the door at the local shop.

Very nice to see the Thames again.

Yesterday we had our planned BBQ. I nearly set fire to the next door neighbour's fence, burned the sausages in about three minutes, and knocked my beer over too. Otherwise it went well.
