Sunset over Pukaki

We've had a weekend off planned for some weeks, but for some reason we hadn't planned anywhere to go ...

So a last minute phone call found that my Aunts place in Wanaka was free, so off we went. It might be a 4.5 hour drive, but it is simply paradise, so why wouldn't you!

Left at 5pm, had venison burgers at Lake Tekapo, and watched this sunset over Lake Pukakai - amazing. Got to Wanaka around 9.30 - a glass of wine, a book, bed. Bliss!
