lily of the valley

Lily of the Valley is spreading like a weed in part of my garden. I removed some of it today but I can't bring myself to take out much more while it is still flowering. The scent reminds me of my Mum, who liked Morny Lily of the Valley soap. She also had the flowers in her wedding bouquet.

Despite looking pretty, smelling divine and being the national plant of both Finland and Yugoslavia, lily of the valley is highly poisonous (ask Walter White). It is highly recommended that after touching them, you should wash your hands before eating (but of course we all do that anyway).
